For Ethiopian schools & universities

The year, kept.

A digital yearbook for schools and universities in Ethiopia — your class makes it together, everyone's page, everyone's handwriting on it. It opens on the phone in your pocket and keeps working when the signal does not.

See a finished yearbook — no account needed.

How it works

  1. Bring the class in — your list and your photographs.
  2. Everyone claims their page and signs the others' by hand.
  3. The book opens on a phone, with no connection at all.

What it costs

A class buys it once, together. Nobody pays to be in the book — everybody is in it. You pay for the people who are in it, and the rate comes down as the year gets bigger: 500 ETB each up to fifty students, 450 to a hundred, 400 to a hundred and fifty, 350 to two hundred, and 300 each above that. Pay by bank transfer, telebirr, CBE or cash.

Why this one

  • It is yours to keep — export the whole book to a file whenever you like.
  • Works on a bad connection. Install it once and it opens with no signal.
  • One person runs it, and can read messages before anybody else sees them.
